Numerical modelling of premixed gaseous combustion by the boundary-domain integral method

Combustion Theory and Modelling, 1999
The numerical procedure of combustion modelling by the boundary–domain integral method (BDIM) is presented, based on detailed chemical and physical processes of the premixed gaseous fuel. The boundary element method is employed to solve the conservation equations of overall mass, momentum, energy and mass species.

A boundary-domain integral equation method for solving convective heat transfer problems

International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2013
Abstract In this paper, a new boundary-domain integral equation for solving energy equation in convective heat transfer problems is derived. The derived integral equation accounts for fluid velocity which is computed using the velocity boundary-domain integral equations presented in [2] , [3] (X.W. Gao, 2004, 2005).

An accelerated Boundary‐Domain Integral Method for three‐dimensional fluid flow analysis

PAMM, 2019
AbstractThe rapid growth of computer power enables performing of more and more complex numerical simulations. However, the need to develop efficient numerical algorithms is always present. In this study, we propose an acceleration of an algorithm to solve the nonlinear system of Navier‐Stokes equations.

Krylov Subspace and Domain Decomposition Methods in 2D Viscous Flow by Boundary-Domain Integral Method

1997
The solution of Navier-Stokes equations of time dependent incompressible viscous fluid flow in planar geometry by the Boundary Domain Integral Method (BDIM) is discussed. In order to reduce the computational cost of BDIM iterative methods (Krylov subspace and Domain decomposition methods) are used. Different types of preconditioning, from simple Jacobi

Heat and Mass Transfer Porous Medium Saturated with Compressible Fluid with Boundary Domain Integral Method

Defect and Diffusion Forum, 2008
A numerical approach to solve a problem of combined heat and mass transfer in porous medium saturated with compressible fluid is presented. Transport phenomena in porous media is described using the modified Navier-Stokes equations, where for the governing momentum equation the Brinkman extended Darcy formulation is used. Governing equations are solved

Boundary Domain Integral Method for the Space Time Dependent Viscous Incompressible Flow

1991
The partial differential set of equations, governing the laminar or the turbulent motion of viscous incompressible fluid is known as nonlinear Navier-Stokes equations. They constitute the statement of the basic conservation balance of mass, momentum and energy applied to a control volume, i.e. the eulerian description.

Boundary Domain Integral Method for Double Diffusive Natural Convection in Porous Media Saturated with Compressible Fluid

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2008
In the present work, a Boundary Domain Integral Method, which has been already established for the solution of viscous incompressible fluid flow through porous media, is extended to capture compressible fluid flow in porous media. The presented numerical scheme was used for solving the problem of double diffusive natural convection in a square porous ...

A Boundary-Domain Integral Equation Method for an Elliptic Cauchy Problem with Variable Coefficients

2019
We consider an integral based method for numerically solving the Cauchy problem for second-order elliptic equations in divergence form with spacewise dependent coefficients. The solution is represented as a boundary-domain integral, with unknown densities to be identified.
