THE ‘NO BOUNDARY CONDITION’ OUTFLOW BOUNDARY CONDITION
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, 1997Summary: We use a one-dimensional model problem of advection-diffusion to investigate the treatment recently advocated by \textit{T. C. Papanastasiou, N. Malamataris} and \textit{K. Ellwood} [Int. J. Numer. Methods Fluids 14, No. 5, 587--608 (1992; Zbl 0747.76039)] to deal with boundary conditions at artificial outflow boundaries. Using finite elements

Boundary conditions in electromagnetics
Physical Review E, 1993A proof is given to show that satisfying the boundary conditions on the tangential electric and magnetic fields across the boundary surface of two different material media means that the boundary conditions on the normal magnetic-induction vector and electric-displacement vector are automatically satisfied while the converse is not true.

Generalized Boundary Conditions
The Physics of Fluids, 1970The concept of the generalized boundary condition is introduced, and stabilization of ion-sound waves and drift waves using such boundary conditions is demonstrated. The boundary consists of a two-dimensional, lumped-parameter transmission line in electrical contact with the plasma.

An Introduction to Boundary Conditions
1996The aim of this chapter is to introduce the unfamiliar reader to the topic of boundary conditions: we just want to give some insight into this question and do not pretend to give an exhaustive study. We recall first the main features of the initial boundary value problem (I.B.V.P.) before we present the numerical treatment of the question.

The Psychoanalytic Quarterly, 1999
Boundaries in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy can be considered either as indicators of moral transgressions or as guidelines for therapeutic intervention. This paper suggests that these categories be better delineated in the hope that less attention be paid to that of moral mistakes and more to that of treatment effectiveness.

Chapter 2 extends the ideas presented in the previous chapter by situating a whole range of self-narratives on a spectrum involving more or less fully imagined forms of relationality between humans and other animals. With chapter 1 having provided a detailed reading of two particular case studies, chapter 2 uses a variety of texts—including memoirs and

Boundary conditions at grain boundaries
Journal of Applied Physics, 1983Grain boundaries in polycrystalline semiconductor material are frequently idealized as surfaces possessing a characteristic surface recombination velocity. Minority carrier densities generated by external sources (electron beams, light, etc.) in polycrystalline p–n junctions must satisfy certain boundary conditions at these grain boundaries which will ...

No Classic Boundary Conditions.
2007Abstract{We consider the boundary value problem:8 1x(a) = ̄0¢x(k) ́ x(k)(b) ¡ x(k)(a) = ̄k+1; k = 0; :::;m ¡ 2where x(t) = (x(t); x0(t); ::::; x(m¡1)(t)), ̄i 2 R;i = 0; :::;m ¡ 1, and f is continuous at least in theinterior of the domain of interest. We prove the ex-istence and uniqueness of the solution under certainconditions.
