Z‐Scheme Water Splitting Systems Based on Solid‐State Electron Conductors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines the latest advances in Z‐scheme overall water splitting (OWS) systems for solar hydrogen production. These systems consist of suspended or immobilized hydrogen evolution photocatalysts (HEPs) and oxygen evolution photocatalysts (OEPs).

AdS3 gravity and the complex SYK models

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We provide a non-conformal generalization of the Compère-Song-Strominger (CSS) boundary conditions for AdS3 gravity that breaks the u ̂ 1 $$ \hat{u}(1) $$ Kac-Moody-Virasoro symmetry to two u(1)s.

Exact marginality in open string field theory: a general framework

open access: yes, 2007
We construct analytic solutions of open bosonic string field theory for any exactly marginal deformation in any boundary conformal field theory when properly renormalized operator products of the marginal operator are given.

Completeness conditions for boundary operators in 2D conformal field theory [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1996
In non-diagonal conformal models, the boundary fields are not directly related to the bulk spectrum. We illustrate some of their features by completing previous work of Lewellen on sewing constraints for conformal theories in the presence of boundaries.

Ladder‐Type Benzene‐Perylene Dyes with Efficient Laser Properties in the Near‐IR by Detracting/Activating Low/High Frequency Vibronic Modes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The NNR‐n series of oligomeric nanographenes delivers exceptional emission performance. This work shows that this performance is originated by their ladder‐type structure, which effectively deactivates low‐frequency vibronic modes. This deactivation neglects the main pathway for non‐emissive deactivation, even in the near‐infrared region. The potential

Effective Field Theory of Conformal Boundaries

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters
We introduce an effective field theory (EFT) for conformal impurity by considering a pair of transversely displaced impurities and integrating out modes with mass inversely proportional to the separation distance. This EFT captures the universal signature of the impurity seen by a heavy local operator.

Chern-Simons Gauge Theory and the AdS(3)/CFT(2) Correspondence

open access: yes, 2004
The bulk partition function of pure Chern-Simons theory on a three-manifold is a state in the space of conformal blocks of the dual boundary RCFT, and therefore transforms non-trivially under the boundary modular group.

Light-cone formulation of conformal field theory adapted to AdS/CFT correspondence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Light-cone formulation of conformal field theory in space-time of arbitrary dimension is developed. Conformal fundamental and shadow fields with arbitrary conformal dimension and arbitrary spin are studied.

Holographic entanglement entropy in boundary conformal field theory [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2018
We study the holographic entanglement entropy in a (d+1)-dimensional boundary quantum field theory at both the zero and finite temperature. The phase diagrams for the holographic entanglement entropy at various temperatures are obtained by solving the entangled surfaces in the different homology.
