Entropy of conformal perturbation defects
We consider perturbation defects obtained by perturbing a 2D conformal field theory (CFT) by a relevant operator on a half-plane. If the perturbed bulk theory flows to an infrared fixed point described by another CFT, the defect flows to a conformal ...

We expand the results of arXiv:1105.5165, where a holographic description of a conformal field theory defined on a manifold with boundaries (so called BCFT) was proposed, based on AdS/CFT. We construct gravity duals of conformal field theories on strips,

Fermions in boundary conformal field theory: crossing symmetry and E-expansion
We use the equations of motion in combination with crossing symmetry to constrain the properties of interacting fermionic boundary conformal field theories.

PERSISTENT CURRENTS IN MESOSCOPIC RINGS AND BOUNDARY CONFORMAL FIELD THEORY [PDF]
A tight-binding model of electron dynamics in mesoscopic normal rings is studied using boundary conformal field theory. The partition function is calculated in the low energy limit and the persistent current generated as a function of an external magnetic flux threading the ring is found.

Micropatterned Biphasic Printed Electrodes for High‐Fidelity on‐Skin Bioelectronics
Micropatterned biphasic printed electrodes achieve unprecedented skin conformity and low impedance by combining liquid‐metal droplets with microstructured 3D lattices. This scalable approach enables high‐fidelity detection of ECG, EMG, and EEG signals, including alpha rhythms from the forehead, with long‐term comfort and stability.

Bootstrapping boundary QED. Part I
We use the numerical conformal bootstrap to study boundary quantum electrodynamics, the theory of a four dimensional photon in a half space coupled to charged conformal matter on the boundary.

Scale invariance vs. conformal invariance: holographic two-point functions in Horndeski gravity
We consider Einstein-Horndeski gravity with a negative bare constant as a holographic model to investigate whether a scale invariant quantum field theory can exist without the full conformal invariance.

Asymptotic dynamics in 3D gravity with torsion
We study the nature of boundary dynamics in the teleparallel 3D gravity. The asymptotic field equations with anti-de Sitter boundary conditions yield only two non-trivial boundary modes, related to a conformal field theory with classical central charge ...

Boundary Conditions in Conformal Field Theory
We consider conformal field theories on manifolds with a boundary, and the constraints placed by modular invariance on their partition functions. In particular, the partition functions on an annulus with particular boundary conditions are given by the fusion rules. This leads to a simple derivation of the Verlinde formula.
