Tunneling boundary condition and topology change
Physical Review D, 1995In this paper the tunneling boundary condition is reexamined in terms of the Morse function. The use of this function permits one, on the one hand, to describe the shape of the singularity when topology change is allowed, and, on the other hand, to define, in the same situation, a slicing procedure which allows one to define the boundary of superspace ...

A Poisson boundary for topological semigroups
Archiv der Mathematik, 2014\textit{H. Furstenberg} [Ann. Math. (2) 77, 335--386 (1963; Zbl 0192.12704)] proved an integral representation formula in terms of the Poisson boundary for functions harmonic with respect to a Borel measure on a group \(G\) under the assumption that the group is a connected semi-simple Lie group with finite centre and no compact factors.

The Topological Structure of Grain Boundaries
1990It is shown that grain boundaries are quasiperodic tilings made of inflatable sequences of structural units. A general grain boundary is a quasiperodic grid of dislocations with the same inflation multiplier (a quadratic irrational) in every direction.

Values on the Topological Boundary of Tubes
1988Holomorphic functions in tube domains in â„‚n which generalize the Hardy Hp functions are shown to have boundary values on the topological boundary of the tube. The boundary values are obtained restrictedly or unrestrictedly in Lp and in the distribution space \( {\text {K}}_{1}^{\prime}\).
