Free boundary value problem for compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2020
In this article we consider a free boundary value problem for barotropic compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with density-dependent viscosity coefficients.

Comparative Study of Experimental Methods for Measuring Thermal Properties of 100Cr6 Steel Powders

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the thermal properties of 100Cr6 steel in both bulk and powder forms. Measuring the very low thermal conductivity typically exhibited by powders poses significant challenges. To address this, two novel measurement techniques—temperature gradient and finite laser pulse response—are introduced and evaluated by comparison with the ...

Nonhomogeneous Boundary Value Problems

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1996
AbstractThe diffusion equation is solved under stochastic nonhomogeneity using eigen function expansion and the Georges method. The statistical moments of the solution process are computed through the two previously mentioned techniques and proved to be the same. A general solution is obtained under general initial and boundary conditions.

Mechanical Properties of Different Austenitic High‐Nitrogen Steel Grades Produced by Powder Mixtures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The effect of nitrogen content on the mechanical properties of austenitic stainless steels is investigated using tailored powder metallurgical processing. Different PM routes, including additive manufacturing, enable controlled nitrogen uptake and complex geometries.

A variational principle for boundary-value problems with non-linear boundary conditions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2015
In this article, we establish a variational principle for a class of boundary-value problems with a suitable non-linear boundary conditions. As an application of the variational principle, we study the existence of classical solutions for boundary ...

Facile Synthesis of CuxS Electrocatalysts for CO2 Conversion into Formate and Study of Relations Between Cu and S with the Selectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Copper sulfide based electrocatalysts for CO2 conversion are selective for production of formate as major product. Transformations under electrochemical conditions result in significant sulfur loss, and this study examines the nature of how persistent, residual sulfur (observed as surface SO42– species and S dissolved in the electrolyte) can sustain ...
