On Error Bounds for Gaussian Cubature
SIAM Review, 1962NUMERICAL INTEGRATION IS THE PROCESS of approximating the value of a definite integral from a set of numerical values of the integrand. When applied to the computation of a double integral of a function of two independent variables, the process is sometimes called "mechanical cubature".

Error Bounds for Perturbing Nonexponential Queues
Mathematics of Operations Research, 2004A general framework is provided to derive analytic error bounds for the effect of perturbations and inaccuracies of nonexponential service or arrival distributions in single- and multiserver queues. The general framework is worked out in detail for the three types of finite or infinite buffer queues: GI/G/1/N, M/G/c/N, and GI/M/c/N.

Error Bounds for Quadratic Systems
2000In this paper we consider the problem of estimating the distance from a given point to the solution set of a quadratic inequality system. We show, among other things, that a local error bound of order 1/2 holds for a system defined by linear inequalities and a single (nonconvex) quadratic equality.

A nonparametric bound for the bayes error
Pattern Recognition, 1995Abstract The exact computation of the Bayes Error Probability is not possible in most recognition situations. The mathematical form of the class-conditional probability density functions of real world features is usually unknown. We can only compute certain approximations from finite training sets.

Error bounds in mathematical programming
Mathematical Programming, 1997Originated from the practical implementation and numerical considerations of iterative methods for solving mathematical programs, the study of error bounds has grown and proliferated in many interesting areas within mathematical programming. This paper gives a comprehensive, state-of-the-art survey of the extensive theory and rich applications of error
