Improving upper bounds for the distinguishing index

open access: yesArs Mathematica Contemporanea, 2017
Summary: The distinguishing index of a graph \(G\), denoted by \(D^\prime(G)\), is the least number of colours in an edge colouring of \(G\) not preserved by any non-trivial automorphism. We characterize all connected graphs \(G\) with \(D^\prime(G)\geq \Delta(G)\).

New bounds for the acyclic chromatic index

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2016
An edge coloring of a graph $G$ is called an acyclic edge coloring if it is proper and every cycle in $G$ contains edges of at least three different colors. The least number of colors needed for an acyclic edge coloring of $G$ is called the acyclic chromatic index of $G$ and is denoted by $a'(G)$.

Index Formulas for Countably φ−Set Contraction

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2014
In this paper, we study the index formulas for a class of bounded linear operators, namely ϕ−set contractions, acting on a Banach space and we discuss some application of this class of operators to the theory of bifurcation points.
