On bounded lattices satisfying Elkan’s law

Soft Computing, 2007
Let \(\mathcal{L}=(L,\cdot, +,0,1)\) be a bounded lattice. A unary operator \('\) satisfying the conditions \((c_{0})\) \( 0'=1\), \((P_{1})\) \( a\leq b \Rightarrow b'\leq a'\), \((P_{2})\) \(a''=a\) for all \(a,b\in L\), is called a pseudo-complementation by \textit{E. Renedo, E. Trillas} and \textit{C. Alsina} [Soft Comput. 8, No.

Lattice Embeddings for Abstract Bounded Reducibilities

SIAM Journal on Computing, 2002
The author starts with the definition of a bounded reducibility of subsets of the natural numbers. A relation \(\leq_r\) is a bounded reducibility iff there exists a recursive set \(E\) that contains only indices of total recursive functionals such that for all sets \(A,B\) we have \(A \leq_e B \iff \exists e \in E (A = \Phi_e(B))\).

Transversally bounded lattices

Order, 1988
The author deals with a problem stemming from a boundedness question for torsion modules and its translation into ideal lattices. The results are part of a round trip from torsion modules to ultrafilters through lattices. The starting point was a problem on torsion modules over commutative integral domains.
