Spectral Jacobi approximations for Boussinesq systems
AbstractThis paper is concerned with the numerical approximation of initial‐boundary‐value problems of a three‐parameter family of Bona–Smith systems, derived as a model for the propagation of surface waves under a physical Boussinesq regime. The work proposed here is focused on the corresponding problem with Dirichlet boundary conditions and its ...

The approximate solutions of nonlinear Boussinesq equation
The homotopy analysis method (HAM) is introduced to solve the generalized Boussinesq equation. In this work, we establish the new analytical solution of the exponential function form. Applying the homotopy perturbation method to solve the variable coefficient Boussinesq equation.

Liquid-Liquid Polymerization Front under Quasiperiodic Gravitational Modulation
The influence of quasi-periodic gravitational modulation of polymerization front with liquid monomer and liquid polymer is studied in this paper. The model considered includes the heat equation, the equation for the concentration and the Navier-Stokes ...

The Oberbeck–Boussinesq approximation and Rayleigh–Bénard convection revisited
We consider the Oberbeck--Boussinesq approximation driven by an inhomogeneous temperature distribution on the boundary of a bounded fluid domain. The relevant boundary conditions are perturbed by a non--local term arising in the incompressible limit of the Navier--Stokes--Fourier system.

Deep neural network-based prediction of tsunami wave attenuation by mangrove forests
The goal of this research is to develop a model employing deep neural networks (DNNs) to predict the effectiveness of mangrove forests in attenuating the impact of tsunami waves.

Rational derivation of the Boussinesq approximation
This note derives the Boussinesq approximation in a manner consistent with the conservation law of mass. It is shown that the governing equations of a fluid under the approximation can be obtained on the basis of the assumption that the fluid is incompressible, in the sense that the density of the fluid is constant.

On the Frequency of Internal Gravity Waves in the Atmosphere: Comparing Theory with Observations
This paper is devoted to the dynamics of the propagation of non-planetary scale internal gravity waves (IGWs) in the stratified atmosphere. We consider the system of equations describing internal gravity waves in three approximations: (1) the ...

A magnet placed near the cooling wall excludes hot oxygen, adsorbs cold oxygen, and forms vortices on the surface of the cooling wall, thereby blocking the approach of hot air. Unlike the heat transfer suppression by an adiabatic wall, this heat transfer
