Some trends in the evolution of the chromosomes in the Bovidae
A survey of the chromosome status of all members of the family Bovidae (60 species) studied to date is described. A special mention is made of chromosome studies in bovids in the Kruger National Park. A tentative course of chromosomal status is outlined.

Ruminants (Giraffidae and Bovidae) from Kanapoi
We update here our recent revision of the Kanapoi ruminants and describe recently collected material. We now regard the occurrence of reduncins as doubtful, we revise the identification of a large raphicerin as being more probably Gazella, and we add Gazella cf. janenschi and the Cephalophini to the faunal list.

We integrated field surveys, DNA barcoding and integrative taxonomy, iDNA, and ecological modeling to resolve the distributions, seasonality, and host use of Haemaphysalis ticks across Hong Kong. Moisture was indicative of adult activity, and iDNA suggested predominant feeding on wild mammals, particularly wild boar and porcupine.
