A comparative study for diagnosis of Bovine Leukemia Virus (BLV) infection in dairy cows by Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent assay (ELISA) [PDF]

open access: yesĀsīb/shināsī-i Darmāngāhī-i Dāmpizishkī, 2015
Bovine Leukemia Virus (BLV) is a retrovirus that causes bovine enzootic leukemia (EBL). The routine method for the diagnosis of the infection is antibody screening tests.

Advances in the Study of Pluripotent Stem Cells in Livestock

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Livestock pluripotent stem cells include embryonic stem cells (ESCs) isolated from the inner cell mass of blastocysts and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) derived from somatic cell reprogramming. They hold significant potential for applications in livestock breed improvement, rapid propagation, human disease modelling and human organ ...

Nucleic acid probes in diagnostic medicine [PDF]

open access: yes
The need for improved diagnostic procedures is outlined and variations in probe technology are briefly reviewed. A discussion of the application of probe technology to the diagnosis of disease in animals and humans is presented.

Targeting SHP‐1‐Mediated Inhibition of STAT3 and ERK Signalling Pathways Rescues the Hyporesponsiveness of MHC‐I‐Deficient NK‐92MI

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
B2M knockout (KO) represents a crucial strategy for generating universal NK‐92MI cell products. This approach results in increased phosphorylation of SHP‐1 and inhibited phosphorylation of STAT3 and ERK, which ultimately affect their cytotoxic capabilities. SHP‐1 KO facilitates the restoration of cytotoxic function in B2M KO NK‐92MI cells.

Maternal Nutritional Status Governs Fetal Development by Modulating Imprinting Gene GAB1‐Mediated Trophoblast Differentiation in the Placenta

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Maternal nutrient restriction disrupts placental homeostasis via GAB1 dysregulation—involving both transcriptional downregulation and autophagy‐dependent protein degradation. These molecular alterations inhibit MAPK signalling‐mediated trophoblast fusion, leading to structural and functional deficits in the maternal–fetal exchange interface.

Post-translational processing of the glycoproteins of lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Intracellular events in the synthesis, glycosylation, and transport of the lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) glycoproteins have been examined. We have shown by N-glycanase digestion that LCMV strain Arm-4 bears five oligosaccharides on GP-1 and ...
