Bovine Kobuvirus in Calves with Diarrhea, United States
We detected bovine kobuvirus (BKV) in calves with diarrhea in the United States. The strain identified is related genetically to BKVs detected in other countries. Histopathologic findings also confirmed viral infection in 2 BKV cases.

Characterization of bovine viral diarrhea virus RNA [PDF]
RNA extracted from isopycnically banded [3-H]uridine-labeled bovine viral diarrhea virus with sodium dodecyl sulfate was resolved into one major and two minor components by both sedimentation analysis and electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gels. The major RNA component was estimated to have a 38S sedimentation coefficient.

CR8L10 is self‐assembled with catalase (CAT) to form CR8L10@CAT nanocomplexes, which can anchor to mucosal surfaces via thiol‐disulfide exchange with mucin, thereby enhancing their mucosal retention. The efficient reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging at inflamed sites would then result in successful treatment in both the intravesical IC/BPS model ...

Porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV) infection induces severe intestinal inflammation and acute diarrhea in piglets, yet the molecular mechanism remains incompletely understood. The M protein activates NLRP3 inflammasome through dual mechanisms: direct binding to the NLRP3 LRR domain and disruption of TRIM31‐mediated K48‐linked ubiquitination.

Complete genome sequences of both biotypes of a virus pair of bovine viral diarrhea virus subgenotype 1k [PDF]
We determined the complete genome sequences of both biotypes of a virus pair of bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) subgenotype 1k. The viruses were isolated from a persistently infected calf suffering from mucosal disease.

Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus and Related Pestiviruses [PDF]
The pestiviruses encompass some of the most economically important viral infections in the cattle, swine, and sheep industries worldwide. Discovered more than 70 years ago, bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) and classical swine fever virus (CSFV) were ...

ABSTRACT Autosomal recessive HARS1‐related disorder (originally described as Usher syndrome type 3B) caused by a homozygous Y454S variant in the histidyl‐tRNA synthetase gene (HARS1) is characterized by progressive sensorineural hearing and vision loss and respiratory deterioration with risk for sudden death following febrile illnesses.

CRISPR/Cas9 has revolutionized the field of gene therapy, but delivery remains an outstanding issue. We propose a nonviral gold‐nanoparticle platform for co‐delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 ribonucleoprotein and long 2.1 kilobase dsDNA transgene constructs. This CRISPR‐AuNP is inexpensive to produce and mediate gene editing and DNA delivery in T cells and CD34+
