Recent Advances in Animal Virology, 2019
Bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) is prevalent worldwide and causes high economic losses in cattle due to a variety of disease syndromes. BVD is caused by three bovine pestiviruses, bovine viral diarrhea virus 1 (BVDV-1), BVDV-2 and HoBi-like pestivirus (HoBiPeV) with considerable genetic and antigenic heterogeneity.

Vaccination of cattle against bovine viral diarrhea virus
Veterinary Microbiology, 2017Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) is responsible for significant losses to the cattle industry. Currently, modified-live viral (MLV) and inactivated viral vaccines are available against BVDV, often in combination with other viral and bacterial antigens.

Thiosemicarbazones which previously characterized as a new class that inhibit anti-bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) prompted us for synthesizing a series of new thiosemicarbazone derivatives. Thus, in this study, we reported the synthesis and antiviral

The purpose of this study was to detect and confirm PI dairy cattle, research the dam's location during the first trimester of gestation, and genetically sequence a portion of the 5' untranslated (UTR) region of viral RNA to determine the prevalence of different genotypes of BVDV PI dairy cattle in the upper midwestern United States.

Morphology of bovine viral diarrhea virus
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1984SUMMARY The morphology of bovine viral diarrhea virus (bvdv) was studied by electron microscopy. The NADL strain of bvdv was plaque purified 3 times, concentrated by polyethylene glycol precipitation, and purified by centrifugation to equilibrium in continuous potassium tartrate density-gradients.
