Association of genomic prediction for twin pregnancies with the incidence of double ovulation in primiparous dairy cows

Abstract Twin pregnancies compromise the health and well‐being of dairy cattle. A recent genomic prediction model for twin pregnancies has been developed based on twin calving or abortion. However, the incidence of double ovulation is significantly higher than that of twin births.

The landscape of fear in cattle farms? How the presence of barn swallow influences the activity of pest flies

Barn swallows are effective biological control agents for lowering pest fly activity in livestock farms. Farmers were actively involved in swallow conservation within their sheds, also with a shared memorandum‐of‐intent. YBX1 Promotes Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Progression via m5C‐Dependent SMOX mRNA Stabilization

Liu et al. identify that YBX1, an m5C reader protein, is upregulated in ESCC tissues. Further, YBX1 promotes ESCC progression by stabilizing SMOX mRNA and consequently activating the mTOCR1 signaling pathway in an NSUN2‐mediated m5C modification‐dependent manner.
