Priming Need–Frustrating Memories Sparks Conspiracy Beliefs: A Self‐Determination Theory Perspective
ABSTRACT Objective Memories shape perceptions and decisions in uncertain situations through their encoded levels of autonomy, competence, and relatedness satisfaction or frustration. This research investigated their predictive value on COVID‐19 conspiracy theories endorsement, when triggered by freedom‐restrictive contexts.

We present the most densely sampled phylogeny of Carex section Lupulinae to date (107 specimens) and describe herein a new cryptic species for science from the southern United States, which is locally abundant and found in well‐explored and densely populated areas. Combining DNA sequences with morphometric data obtained from 299 samples, we Demonstrate

How does sleep deprivation affect the brain? We performed a meta‐analysis of publicly available transcriptional profiling datasets characterising the effects of sleep deprivation on cortical gene expression (n = 293 mice, 16,290 genes) and validated our results in an independent sample (n = 222 mice).

Hypersonic Aerodynamics Using BGK Approach for Oscillatory Membrane-on-Ballute with Bow Shock Wave
Gaskinetic BGK approach is preferable to handle the hypersonic- entry aerodynamics of inflatable decelerators or ballutes, because the peak dynamic pressure is likely to fall within the rarefied gasdynamic regime. We report here our recent development of such a BGK approach for inflatable aeroelastic applications. First, the gaskinetic flow solver BGKX

The interactions between oblique and bow shock waves are significant problems related to the aerodynamic force and thermal performance of hypersonic vehicles, but few studies have considered the dynamic effect of the body's motion on the phenomena. In this work, a numerical study on the oblique and bow shock waves ahead of an elliptic cylinder rotating

Shock Waves, 2002
Flow properties in the TCM2 free piston shock tube/tunnel are determined by time-resolved pressure and heat flux measurements in numerous points of the shock tube and the nozzle, and in the free flow for two stagnation enthalpy conditions (3.5 and 11 MJ/kg). These measurements demonstrate the homogeneity of the flow during more than 1 ms. The cleanness

Aerodynamic Heating in Three-Dimensional Bow Shock Wave/Turbulent Boundary Layer Interaction Region
1995Aerodynamic heating phenomena in the shock wave/turbulent boundary layer interaction region are one of the most important research tasks and this subject demands further investigation. To explain these phenomena, we investigate the bow shock wave/turbulent boundary layer interaction region induced by a blunt body, that is to say, the model case of the ...
