More of the Same: A Document Analysis of the Government's Response to Ageing with Intellectual Disabilities in Hong Kong

open access: yesJournal of Policy and Practice in Intellectual Disabilities, Volume 23, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT As the population of people ageing with intellectual disabilities grew in the 1980s, the Hong Kong government supported research exploring their needs and recommended a range of initiatives, including the promotion of community inclusion. This study aimed to identify how the government has understood and responded to the ‘problem’ of people ...

FUCA2 Sustains AKT Signaling and Suppresses Senescence by Antagonizing FUT3‐Mediated ErbB3 Fucosylation in Lung Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 44, 7 August 2026.
ABSTRACT While targeted therapies have improved outcomes in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), many patients still lack targetable mutations. Here, we identified alpha‐L‐fucosidase 2 (FUCA2) as a crucial driver of LUAD by preventing cellular senescence. Mechanistically, through the restriction of fucosyltransferase 3 (FUT3)‐mediated α‐1,3‐fucosylation of ...

A Portable and Dual‐Button Microneedle Device Enables Intelligent Multimodal Laser Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 43, 3 August 2026.
A portable and dual‐button microneedle device enables rapid interstitial fluid sampling. Coupled with multimodal laser sensing and AI‐assisted data processing, the platform enables simultaneous molecular and elemental analysis for minimally invasive and multiplexed health assessment toward point‐of‐care diagnostics.

The E3 Ligase RNF115 Aggravates Pathological Cardiac Hypertrophy via Ubiquitin‐Mediated Degradation of SPTBN1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 47, 24 August 2026.
In response to hypertrophic stimuli, increased c‑JUN phosphorylation upregulates RNF115, leading to SPTBN1 ubiquitination and degradation. which promotes F‑actin depolymerization and YAP activation, driving cardiac hypertrophy. The RNF115 inhibitor DTD effectively suppresses SPTBN1 ubiquitination and cardiac hypertrophy.

Large Anogenital Bowen Disease Misdiagnosed as Chronic Eczema for Nine Years: A Case Report Highlighting the Importance of Early Biopsy

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Persistent treatment‐resistant anogenital plaques should not be repeatedly managed as chronic eczema without histopathological confirmation. Early biopsy of atypical or non‐resolving lesions facilitates timely diagnosis of Bowen disease, prevents prolonged diagnostic delay, and enables treatment before progression to invasive squamous cell ...
