Atmospheric Boundary-Layer Dynamics with Constant Bowen Ratio [PDF]
Motivated by the observation that the diurnal evolution of sensible and latent heat fluxes tends to maintain a constant Bowen ratio, we derive approximate solutions of the ordinary differential equations of a simplified atmospheric boundary-layer (ABL) model.

Determination of surface fluxes using a Bowen ratio system
Components of the surface fluxes of the energy balance equation were determined using a Campbell Bowen ratio system. The fluxes are obtained by the energy balance Bowen ratio technique, a gradient method that uses vertical gradients of temperature and vapour pressure in combination with point measurements of net radiation and soil heat flow from two ...

A modified Bowen ratio method to determine sensible and latent heat fluxes
The sensible heat flux (H) and the latent heat flux (λE) were measured above a grassland during June, 1997 (LINEX-97/1 Experiment), using the eddy covariance method (EC) and the Bowen ratio/Energy balance method (BREB).

A Novel Framework for Estimating the Bowen Ratio Over Small Water Bodies
ABSTRACTThe Bowen ratio, defined as the ratio of sensible to latent heat flux, is crucial for quantifying land‐atmosphere energy exchanges and evaporation rates from terrestrial surfaces. Despite extensive research on the Bowen ratio over placid water surfaces (e.g., lakes), further investigation is needed to understand its dynamics in small reservoirs

N III Bowen Lines and Fluorescence Mechanism in the Symbiotic Star AG Peg [PDF]
We have investigated the intensities and full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the high dispersion spectroscopic N III emission lines of AG Peg, observed with the Hamilton Echelle Spectrograph (HES) in three different epochs at Mt.

Components of near-surface energy balance derived from satellite soundings – Part 2: Noontime latent heat flux [PDF]
This paper introduces a relatively simple method for recovering global fields of latent heat flux. The method focuses on specifying Bowen ratio estimates through exploiting air temperature and vapour pressure measurements obtained from infrared soundings
