Cerebrovascular injury caused by a high strain rate insult in the thorax [PDF]
Primary blast-induced traumatic brain injury (TBI) has increased in documented incidence and public prominence in recent conflicts. Evidence for a thoracic mechanism of blast-induced TBI was recently reviewed and, while the totality is compelling, data from experiments isolating this mechanism is sparse.

Diagnosis and Management of Multifocal Motor Neuropathy in the United Kingdom: A Multicentre Survey
ABSTRACT Background We conducted a survey to determine the current diagnosis and treatment of multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN) in the United Kingdom. Methods Demographic, diagnostic and treatment data were collected at nine UK neuroscience centres. Results Ninety‐five subjects were included. Mean age at diagnosis was 49.9 years (SD: 11.4).

DBF-Net: A Dual-Branch Network with Feature Fusion for Ultrasound Image Segmentation [PDF]
Accurately segmenting lesions in ultrasound images is challenging due to the difficulty in distinguishing boundaries between lesions and surrounding tissues. While deep learning has improved segmentation accuracy, there is limited focus on boundary quality and its relationship with body structures.

Postoperative radiograph shows the successful reduction by button plates. ABSTRACT Objective Multiple reconstruction approaches for the anterior sternoclavicular joint have been described. No gold standard technique has been established. Owing to the well‐established role of open reduction and internal fixation by means of plates and/or screws, rigid ...

Power Plexus: A network based analysis [PDF]
Power generation and distribution remains an important topic of discussion since the industrial revolution. As the system continues to grow, it needs to evolve both in infrastructure, robustness and its resilience to deal with failures. One such potential failure that we target in this work is the cascading failure.

Self-assembly, Buckling & Density-Invariant Growth of Three-dimensional Vascular Networks [PDF]
The experimental actualisation of organoids modelling organs from brains to pancreases has revealed that much of the diverse morphologies of organs are emergent properties of simple intercellular "rules" and not the result of top-down orchestration. In contrast to other organs, the initial plexus of the vascular system is formed by aggregation of cells

A rare case of arteriovenous malformation of the forearm
A 40-year-old man with a long-standing history of congenital arteriovenous malformation in his right forearm was seen with a large, pulsatile tumour in the hypothenar region extending with multiple tortuous vessels on the volar side of the forearm to the
