Diversity and feeding behaviour of insects visiting Brachiaria ruziziensis (Poaceae)
International Journal of Tropical Insect Science, 2005The diversity of visitors to flowers of the grass Brachiaria ruziziensis R. Germ and Evrard is very low in Ngaoundere, Cameroon. Bees (Hymenoptera) and syrphids (Diptera) were observed gathering pollen, and each insect group had its own strategy depending on the prevailing environmental conditions.

Asynchronous meiosis in an interspecific hybrid of Brachiaria ruziziensis and B. brizantha
Plant Cell Reports, 2004Male meiosis is generally synchronous in higher plants. The regulation of the cell cycle is still not well understood, and a powerful tool for gaining an understanding of this regulation is the development of mutations that affect cell-cycle synchrony.

Analysis of protein in low-phosphorus-adapted ruzigrass (Brachiaria ruziziensis)
1997Ruzigrass (Brachiaria ruziziensis), a tropical forage grass, has high productivity without P application even in P-deficient soils, and P deficiency cannot be observed in spite of extremely low P concentrations in the plant. To clarify the mechanism associated with the successful growth under low P status, we analyzed protein in relation to P status of
