Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. elaeidis and Its Biosecurity Threat to Oil Palm‐Producing Countries

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 74, Issue 4, Page 890-907, May 2025.
Our paper highlights the global status of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. elaeidis (Foe), existing and emerging Fusarium wilt management tools including biosecurity strategies to prevent Foe incursions. ABSTRACT The most damaging disease of oil palm is Fusarium wilt caused by a soilborne fungal pathogen, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. elaeidis (Foe).

ASPECTOS CLÍNICOS E PATOLÓGICOS DE UM SURTO DE FOTOSSENSIBILIZAÇÃO HEPATÓGENA EM OVINOS PELA INGESTÃO DE Brachiaria decumbens (Gramineae) NO MUNICÍPIO DE CUIABÁ, MATO GROSSO

Woody and Herbaceous Species Diversity Respond Differently to Environmental Variables in Semiarid Areas in Ghana

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 4, April 2025.
In the drylands of Ghana, the relative importance of various environmental drivers for plant species composition and diversity is still poorly understood and this affects the identification and implementation of appropriate management strategies.

Differentiation of apomictic and sexual genotypes of Brachiaria spp., using molecular markers

open access: yesEcosistemas y Recursos Agropecuarios, 2018
Some species of Brachiaria are cultivated in the tropics because of their high productivity and drought resistance; their apomictic hybrids are of interest because of the almost null segregation and xation of the hybrid vigor in seeds. In this research, Amplied Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLP) and Cleaved Amplied Polymorphic Sequence (CAPS) markers ...

Breeding strategies for Brachiaria spp. to improve productivity - an ongoing project

open access: yesTropical Grasslands - Forrajes Tropicales, 2014
Two strategies have been used in the breeding of Brachiaria (syn. Urochloa) to produce new cultivars. The first involves exploring the natural variability existing in nature, which is the selection of ecotypes, mostly apomicts, from the diversity in germplasm banks.
