Connected Components of H_(r,g)^A (G)
The Hurwitz space is the space of genus g covers of the Riemann sphere with branch points and the monodromy group . In this paper, we enumerate the connected components of the Hurwitz spaces for a finite primitive group of degree 7 and genus ...

The braided Heisenberg group [PDF]
The braided groups and braided matrices B(R) for the solution R of the Yang–Baxter equation associated to the quantum Heisenberg group are computed. It is also shown that a particular extension of the quantum Heisenberg group is dual to the Heisenberg universal enveloping algebra Uq(h), and this result is used to derive an action of Uq(h) on the ...

A polynomial algorithm for the braid double shielded public key cryptosystems
We propose new provable practical deterministic polynomial time algorithm of cryptographic analysis for the braid Wang, Xu, Li, Lin and Wang «Double shielded public key cryptosystems», where the authors recommended the Artin braid groups Bn as platforms

Curve graphs for Artin–Tits groups of type B, A∼ and C∼ are hyperbolic
The graph of irreducible parabolic subgroups is a combinatorial object associated to an Artin–Tits group A defined so as to coincide with the curve graph of the (n+1)‐times punctured disk when A is Artin's braid group on (n+1) strands.

Orbifold braid groups and complex braid groups
A result of Allock [1](arXiv:math/9907194) states that certain orbifold braid groups contain Artin groups of type $D_n$, $\tilde{B}_n$ and $\tilde{D}_n$ as finite index subgroups. The underlying orbifolds have at most two cone points of order two. Based on [10](arXiv:2305.04273) and [12](arXiv:2305.04273), we generalize this result allowing cone points

Quasi-morphisms on the group of area-preserving diffeomorphisms of the $2$-disk via braid groups
Recently Gambaudo and Ghys proved that there exist infinitely many quasi-morphisms on the group 𝐷𝑖𝑓𝑓_{Ω}^{∞}(𝐷²,∂𝐷²) of area-preserving diffeomorphisms of the 2-disk 𝐷².
