Influence of the DBS (Deterlon) and TBS (Marlon) type detergents on the bream Abramis brama (L.) under the applied load of the general physical effort [PDF]

open access: yesActa Ichthyologica et Piscatoria, 1975
The influence of the DBS (Deterlon) and TBS (Marlon) type detergents concentration in water on the adaptability to the physical effort of the bream (Abramis brama L.) in the aquarium conditions was investigated using our own method for application of the

„Brama piekła otwarta”

open access: yesRocznik Filozoficzny Ignatianum, 2021
Artykuł jest próbą omówienia tematu związków występujących między Boską Komedią Dantego a poetyckimi przedstawieniami doświadczenia Zagłady Żydów podczas drugiej wojny światowej. Dzieło włoskiego mistrza okazuje się punktem odniesienia dla wielu polskich i polsko-żydowskich twórców poszukujących odpowiedniego języka, aby opisać brutalną rzeczywistość ...

Factors Influencing the Stocking of Juvenile Pikeperch (Sander lucioperca)

open access: yesFisheries Management and Ecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Predator species of fish play crucial roles in ecosystem balance through top‐down control, a mechanism frequently exploited in biomanipulation to stock predator species. Juvenile pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) were stocked (n = 52,887) in spring 2023 and 2024 and autumn 2023 to compare stocking efficiency between Recirculation Aquaculture ...

Feeding of adult sea bream Brama japonica in the Pacific Ocean and the Bering Sea

open access: yesИзвестия ТИНРО, 2014
Feeding habits of adult sea bream are considered on the samples collected in the North Pacific and Bering Sea in the last several years. This species is a predator with the diet highly dependent on its habitat and composition of prey (small-sized fish ...

Consistent patterns of trophic niche specialisation in host populations infected with a non-native copepod parasite. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017

Disentangling the Drivers of a Piscivorous Intra‐Annual Cohort and the Contributions of Three Cohorts to Early‐Year Class Strength in Pikeperch (Sander lucioperca)

open access: yesFisheries Management and Ecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Using pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) as a model species, we investigated the factors influencing fluctuations in the abundance of piscivorous intra‐annual cohorts and assessed the role of three distinct cohorts: extremely small (ES), ordinary (or mid‐sized) fingerlings, and piscivorous in shaping year‐class strength.

The preventive effects of two nutraceuticals on experimentally induced acute synovitis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Background: Nutraceuticals are often used in the management of equine osteoarthritis, but scientific evidence of their efficacy is lacking. Objectives: To study the preventive effects of two new nutraceuticals after the experimental induction of ...

Long‐term shifts in pikeperch, Sander lucioperca, diet composition in a changing reservoir

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract As a significant piscivorous predator, the pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) plays a critical role in regulating aquatic ecosystems. Understanding its size‐related feeding behaviour is thus vital for assessing its impact. To evaluate its role in the ecosystem, stomach content analysis provides useful insights into predator–prey dynamics.
