Characterization of the complete mitochondrial genome of Sickle pomfret Taractichthys steindachneri (Perciformes: Bramidae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA Part A, 2015
The complete mitogenome sequence of Taractichthys steindachneri was sequenced and analyzed in this study. The complete mitogenome of T. steindachneri is 16 723 bp in length, which contains 22 transfer RNAs, 2 ribosomal RNAs, 13 protein-coding genes and 2 non-coding region, a rep region and a control region (D-loop).

New records of Bramidae in Chilean waters: the sickle pomfret (Taractichthys steindachneri) and the rough pomfret (Taractes asper)

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Aquatic Research, 2023
Artisanal fisheries in center-southern Chile targeted a large amount of southern ray bream (Brama australis), whereas other species of Bramidae are negligible in the catches. During a small-scale fishing trip targeting B. australis off the coast of Lebu Harbour (38ºS) in August 2021, two specimens of other Bramidae species were also caught, but the ...
