Projected Temperature and Precipitation Expand Modeled Distributions of Reynoutria spp. While Modeled Distribution Changes for Ludwigia spp. Are Scenario‐Dependent at Watershed Scales in the Pacific Northwest, USA

open access: yesRiver Research and Applications, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Invasive species can fundamentally alter their introduced habitats by changing natural processes and harming native species crucial to functional ecosystems and human needs. Although the number of potential invasive species is large, the suitability of novel locations to support population establishment is limited by both physical and ...

BRAM

open access: yes, 2018
The Bram camp was located in the Aude Département, near Carcassonne about 142 kilometers (92 miles) southwest of Montpellier, on almost 5 hectares (about 12 acres) of requisitioned pasture land belonging to the owner of the Valgros Chateau, near the commune of Montréal. Also called the “camp of Pigny,” Bram received an annual allowance of 15,000 francs

Improving String Matching through Enhanced Hashing

open access: yesSoftware: Practice and Experience, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Hashing offers opportunities to tune string matching algorithms while enabling efficient data retrieval and pattern detection. Many of the best algorithms apply hashing. Objective We try to develop faster online algorithms for exact string matching.

Intra‐ and Interspecific Effects on Spatio‐Temporal Behavior of Common Commensal Rodent Species

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
This study revealed major findings on spatio‐temporal behavior of commensal rodents on a pig farm showing the influence of interspecific dominance on movement behavior and the resulting species‐specific ecological adaptations. Additionally, rodents tend to stay in their home ranges and migration to other stable buildings is only rare.

Mesoscale modelling of water vapour in the tropical UTLS: two case studies from the HIBISCUS campaign [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2007
In this study, we evaluate the ability of the BRAMS (Brazilian Regional Atmospheric Modeling System) mesoscale model compared to ECMWF global analysis to simulate the observed vertical variations of water vapour in the tropical upper troposphere and ...
