A branch-and-price algorithm for the co-printing problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The Co-printing Problem is a packing problem, where a set of items with an associated color set must be packed in as few bins as possible such that the capacity of the bin and the limit on the number of colors per bin is not exceeded. It finds its origin

A branch-and-price algorithm for the vehicle routing problem with 2-dimensional loading constraints

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we describe a branch-and-price algorithm for the capacitated vehicle routing problem with 2-dimensional loading constraints and a virtually unlimited number of vehicles.

Surgery planning using branch-and-price algorithm accelerated using machine learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Plánování operačních sálů ve zdravotnických zařízeních je zásadní úkol ovlivňující kvalitu péče o pacienty a provozní náklady. Plánovací pravidla používaná v nemocnicích často vedou k suboptimálním rozvrhům.

Transient Cytoskeletal Anisotropy Encodes Short‐Term Mechanical Memory in Glioblastoma Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The same mechanical deformation can produce distinct cytoskeletal states depending on loading history. Experiments and constitutive modeling reveal that transient actin–vimentin anisotropy stores mechanical information and governs short‐term mechanical memory in glioblastoma cells.

Bioengineered Interfaces for Peripheral Nerve Sensory Restoration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Half of amputees abandon their prosthetics for lack of feeling. This review charts the full path from peripheral nerve injury to restored sensation, through surgical, regenerative, noninvasive, and implanted approaches, and shows how injury type and interface material properties determine which strategy can deliver naturalistic feedback, and why ...

Toward Pore‐Engineered 3D‐Printed Materials for Sorption Water Harvesting, Interfacial Evaporation, and Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Water harvesting, radiative cooling, and interfacial solar evaporation are fundamentally governed by coupled heat, mass, and light transport processes. These processes are mediated by pore architecture, including pore size, connectivity, and hierarchical organization.

Integration of Emotional Factors With GAN Algorithm in Stock Price Prediction Method Research

open access: yesIEEE Access
Stock prices are characterized by non-stationarity and volatility, and investors are easily influenced by their own emotions, and their investment decision-making behavior is characterized by irrationality, so stock prices are difficult to predict.
