Vibrational state dependence of ionic rotational branching ratios in resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization of CH [PDF]
We show that rapid evolution of a Rydberg orbital with internuclear distance in a resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI) process can have a profound influence on the production of molecular ions in alternative rotational states.

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Study of a combined biological product with antibacterial and probiotic activity
Scientific relevance. The issue of antimicrobial resistance has acquired global significance, urging the search for and use of alternative antibacterial agents to treat infectious diseases. In particular, this situation prompts wider use of biotechnology-

Assessment of the role of age and light availability in leaf mortality in mango tree.[OS 6-1] [PDF]
The branch autonomy principle states that the branch carbohydrate economy can be largely independent of the other branches of a tree. This may influence fruit growth and affect global crop yield.

This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...
