Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

On Branching Ratios of $B_s$ Decays and the Search for New Physics in $B^0_s\to \mu^+\mu^-$

open access: yes, 2012
The LHCb experiment has recently established a sizable width difference between the mass eigenstates of the $B_s$-meson system. This phenomenon leads to a subtle difference at the 10% level between the experimental branching ratios of $B_s$ decays ...

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

The ϒ(1S)→Bcρ decay with perturbative QCD approach

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2016
With the potential prospects of the ϒ(1S) data samples at the running LHC and upcoming SuperKEKB, the ϒ(1S)→Bcρ weak decay is studied with the pQCD approach.

Search for the Supersymmetric Partner of the Top-Quark in $p \bar{p}$ Collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 1.8 {\rm TeV}$

open access: yes, 2000
We report on a search for the supersymmetric partner of the top quark (stop) produced in $t \bar{t}$ events using $110 {\rm pb}^{-1}$ of $p \bar{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 1.8 {\rm TeV}$ recorded with the Collider Detector at Fermilab.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

$b \to s l \bar l $ in the minimal supergravity model

open access: yes, 1996
The $b \rightarrow s l^+ l^-$ process is studied in the minimal supergravity model in detail. Taking account of the long distance contributions from the $c\overline{c}$ resonances, we calculate the branching ratio and the lepton forward-backward ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Experimental K∗(1410) branching ratios

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1967
Four-prong reactions produced by K−p collisions at 3.8 GeVc have been studied to determine the relative decay rates of the K∗(1410). The branching ratios K∗(892)π:Kρ: Kω: Kη are found to be 1: < 0.40 (none observed): 0.10 ± 0.04: 0.07 ± 0.04 respectively.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
