Adipocyte Hyperplasia Facilitated Adipose Tissue Expansion to Alleviate Hepatopancreas Injury in Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) Fed High‐Fat Diet

open access: yesAquaculture Nutrition, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Previous studies showed that interplay between liver and adipose tissue was important for animals to adapt to high‐fat diets (HFDs). While the mechanisms of adaptation to HFD are not fully understood in fish, we hypothesize that interaction between these key tissues will be crucial.

Brane tilings and reflexive polygons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Reflexive polygons have attracted great interest both in mathematics and in physics. This paper discusses a new aspect of the existing study in the context of quiver gauge theories.

S-BRANES, NEGATIVE TENSION BRANES AND COSMOLOGY [PDF]

open access: yesString Phenomenology, 2003
A general class of solutions of string background equations is studied and its physical interpretations are presented. These solutions correspond to generalizations of the standard black p-brane solutions to surfaces with curvature k=-1,0. The relation with the recently introduced S-branes is provided.

Lukrecijev strah pred smrtjo in pred bogovi

open access: yesKeria: Studia Latina et Graeca, 1999
Posebno vprašanje v Lukrecijevi poeziji predstavlja njegov odnos do smrti. Občutje strahu, ki ga vzbuja misel na smrt, občutje njene skrivnostne, vztrajne navzočnosti v srcu življenja je v njegovi veliki pesnitvi izraženo tako sugestivno, da je težko ...

Constraints on cosmologies inside black holes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We study the construction of holographic models with closed FRW cosmologies on the worldvolume of a constant-tension brane inside a Schwarzschild-AdS black hole.

Brane/Flux Annihilation and the String Dual of a Non-Supersymmetric Field Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We consider the dynamics of p anti-D3 branes inside the Klebanov-Strassler geometry, the deformed conifold with M units of RR 3-form flux around the S3. We find that for p

Report of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) on the risk assessment of botulism resulting from the consumption of vacuum‐packed or modified atmosphere‐packed foods

open access: yesFood Risk Assess Europe, Volume 3, Issue 1, January 2025.
Abstract Foodborne botulism is caused by the ingestion of a neurotoxin (BoNT) primarily produced by Clostridium botulinum. This bacterium is classified into six phenotypic Groups, with Groups I and II being associated with human disease. BoNT are divided into seven main types with different antigenic potentials, of which types A, B, E, and F are ...
