Results 21 to 30 of about 99,297 (275)
We report the results of our in silico study of approved drugs as potential treatments for COVID-19. The study is based on the analysis of normal modes of proteins.

Dualities and 5-brane webs for 5d rank 2 SCFTs [PDF]
A bstractWe consider Type IIB 5-brane configurations for 5d rank 2 superconformal theories which are classified recently by geometry in [1]. We propose all the 5-brane web diagrams for these rank 2 theories and show dualities between some of different ...

On brane gaugino condensates in 10d [PDF]
A bstractWe analyze the structure of gaugino interactions on D7-branes from a 10d perspective. This is essential if one wants to lift the standard 4d approach to type IIB moduli stabilization to 10d. In particular, a 10d picture has recently been used to

Fractional branes and wrapped branes [PDF]
We discuss the ``fractional D-branes'' which arise in orbifold resolution. We argue that they arise as subsectors of the Coulomb branch of the quiver gauge theory used to describe both string theory D-brane and Matrix theory on an orbifold, and thus must form part of the full physical Hilbert space.

Accelerating branes and brane temperature [PDF]
We define the local acceleration and jerk of a relativistic brane in an ambient spacetime, and construct from them a dimensionless parameter lambda that must be small for an interpretation of brane acceleration as local Unruh temperature. As examples, we discuss (i) open rotating branes, for which lambda>1 (ii) closed spherical branes expanding in ...

Constrained superfields from an anti-D3-brane in KKLT [PDF]
The KKLT construction of dS vacua [1] relies on an uplift term that arises from an anti-D3-brane. It was argued by Kachru, Pearson and Verlinde [2] that this anti-D3-brane is an excited state in a supersymmetric theory since it can decay to a ...

Adding a brane to the brane-anti-brane action in BSFT [PDF]
We attempt to generalize the effective action for the D-brane-anti-D-brane system obtained from boundary superstring field theory (BSFT) by adding an extra D-brane to it to obtain a covariantized action for 2 D-branes and 1 anti-D-brane. We discuss the approximations made to obtain the effective action in closed form.

AbstractWe present a non-supersymmetric deformation of probe branes describing conformal defects of codimension two in AdS/CFT. The worldvolume of the probe branes is deformed from AdSp× S1 embedded in an AdSp+2× ℳD − p − 2 background to an embedding of Janus form, which uses an AdSp−1 slicing of AdSp and in which the brane bends along the slicing ...

Type IIB 7-branes in warped AdS6: partition functions, brane webs and probe limit [PDF]
A bstractWe study Type IIB supergravity solutions with spacetime of the form AdS6×S2 warped over a Riemann surface Σ, where Σ includes punctures around which the super-gravity fields have non-trivial SL(2, R) monodromy. Solutions without monodromy have a
