We screened a panel of 98 Brassicaceae genotypes (97 Brassica napus and 1 Sinapis alba) for cabbage stem flea beetle (Psylliodes chrysocephala) larval antibiosis. We found limited evidence for antibiosis across B. napus but consistent antibiosis in S. alba. Brassicaceae relatives may therefore better inform resistance traits for breeding.

Keresztesvirágúak és Arabidopsis mutánsok antioxidáns enzimeinek vizsgálata
A Brassicaceae családba tartozó fajok peroxidáz enzimmintázatának és aktivitásának összehasonlítása pirogallol és gvajakol szubsztráttal. POD aktivitás kimutatása natív poliakrilamid géleken pirogallollal és gvajakollal történő festéssel.

Root‐focused resistance in chicory reduces defenses in leaves, impairing root aphids but enhancing foliar aphid performance. Selecting root resistance can create unintended trade‐offs across plant organs. Abstract BACKGROUND Plants are constantly exposed to a wide range of herbivores at both aboveground (AG) and belowground (BG) levels, involving ...

ABSTRACT In 2019, the Dadan Archaeological Project (CNRS/RCU/AFALULA) identified a Late Antique village 1 km south of ancient Dadan in the al‐ʿUlā valley (northwest Saudi Arabia). Three excavation seasons at this site (2021–2023) have uncovered a massive building constructed in the late third or early fourth cent.

Chromosomal localization of rDNA in the Brassicaceae
A survey is given about the number and chromosomal position of rDNA loci in 45 Brassicaceae species. For 34 species, 5S and 45S rDNA loci have been localized by two-colour fluorescence in situ hybridization for the first time.

ABSTRACT While oasis settlements emerged during the Bronze Age in Eastern and Northern Arabia, the settlement process in Central Arabia was different. Excavations at al‐Yamāma—main ancient settlement of the al‐Kharj oasis (Riyadh Province, KSA)—suggest that the latter did not emerge before the second half of the first millennium BCE.

Development and survival of Bemisia tabaci MEAM1 (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) on Eucalyptus genotypes
This study provides the first experimental evidence of the biological performance of Bemisia tabaci MEAM1 on Eucalyptus genotypes. Development time was shortest and viability highest on soybean compared with the evaluated Eucalyptus genotypes. B. tabaci MEAM1 completed its development on Eucalyptus camaldulensis and Eucalyptus urophylla × Eucalyptus ...
