Impact Brassinolide on Two Fig Varieties

open access: yes, 2021
Brassinolide (BL) is a plant hormone showing wide occurrence in the plant kingdom with unique biological effects on growth and physiological traits. The fig varieties, Improved Brown Turkey (IBT) and Masui Dauphine (MD), are commonly found in Indonesia and Malaysia.

“Bud to bloom”—hormonal coordination in floral initiation

open access: yesPlant Biology, Volume 27, Issue 7, Page 1271-1284, December 2025.
This review unpacks hormonal networks in flower development, revealing how ‘bud to bloom’ transitions shape yield and plant resilience. Abstract Hormones have a dominant role in shaping the destiny of plant reproduction. Recent breakthroughs in our understanding of hormone function during floral development have revealed the pivotal roles of cytokinin,

Brassinolide and its analogs. Part III. Synthesis of brassinolide analogs and their plant growth-promoting activity.

open access: yesAgricultural and Biological Chemistry, 1983
Brassinolide analogs such as (22S, 23S)-28-norbrassinolide 8b, a lactam (6-aza-7-keto analog) 12b, a thiolactam (6-aza-7-thiono analog) 14b and an isomer (6-oxa-7-keto isomer) 15b of (22S, 23S)-homobrassinolide were synthesized. Only two of them (8b and 15b) were bioactive.

A role of the Arabidopsis polyprenol reductase 1 in brassinosteroid biosynthesis

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, Volume 67, Issue 11, Page 2793-2795, November 2025.
Overexpression of Arabidopsis POLYPRENOL REDUCTASE 1 (PPRD1) partially rescued the phenotype of the de‐etiolated2‐1 (det2‐1) brassinosteroid biosynthesis mutant and increased its brassinosteroid contents. A loss‐of‐function pprd1 mutation enhanced the det2‐1 short‐root phenotype and further reduced its brassinosteroid levels, suggesting that PPRD1 ...

Specificity of brassinosteroid perception and its integration at signaling crossroads in vascular development

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 124, Issue 3, November 2025.
SUMMARY Brassinosteroids (BRs) are key regulators of plant growth and development. The BR receptor BRASSINOSTEROID‐INSENSITIVE 1 (BRI1) is broadly expressed across root tissues, yet classical genetic studies suggested that BR signaling can also act non‐cell‐autonomously.

トウモロコシ ミジュク シュシ ニ フクマレル ショクブツ セイチョウ ブッシツ ノ タンリ ト ドウテイ [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998

Involvement of the leaf-specific multidrug and toxic compound extrusion (MATE) transporter Nt-JAT2 in vacuolar sequestration of nicotine in Nicotiana tabacum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Alkaloids play a key role in higher plant defense against pathogens and herbivores. Following its biosynthesis in root tissues, nicotine, the major alkaloid of Nicotiana species, is translocated via xylem transport toward the accumulation sites, leaf ...

Characteristics and Molecular Mechanism of Slow Vegetative Growth in Hexaploid Transgenic Poplar 741 With an Insect‐Resistance Gene

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 10, Page 4552-4567, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Polyploid plants frequently exhibit altered vegetative growth, yet the molecular mechanisms remain unclear. This study reveals that hexaploidisation of triploid insect‐resistant poplar 741‐line Pb29 significantly reduces growth rate, leaf area, photosynthetic capacity and organic matter accumulation.
