Probing Vector Mesons in Deuteron Break-up Reactions
We study vector meson photoproduction from the deuteron at high momentum transfer, accompanied by break-up of the deuteron into a proton and neutron.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

How Academic Failures Break Up Friendship Ties: Social Networks and Retakes
Student academic failures have been traditionally explained by their abilities, socioeconomic status, institutional and social environment. However, the same factors are ignored by researchers when it comes to students at risk of dropping out. Using data

High Energy Break-Up of Few-Nucleon Systems
We discus recent developments in theory of high energy two-body break-up reactions of few-nucleon systems. The characteristics of these reactions are such that the hard two-body quasielastic subprocess can be clearly separated from the accompanying soft ...

The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Break-up channels in muon capture on 3He
The μ− +3 He → νμ + n + d and μ− +3 He → νμ + n + n + p capture reactions are studied under full inclusion of final state interactions with the AV18 nucleon-nucleon potential, augmented by the Urbana IX three-nucleon force, and employing the single ...

Terrestrial Snowmelt as a Precursor to Landfast Sea Ice Break-up in Hudson Bay and James Bay
Numerous studies have been conducted to enhance our understanding of how climate change impacts landfast ice and its break-up in spring or summer. Yet, predictions of break-up timing have proven elusive illusive, and dependent on multiple environmental ...

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Lattice Boltzmann Simulations of Droplet formation in confined Channels with Thermocapillary flows
Based on mesoscale lattice Boltzmann simulations with the "Shan-Chen" model, we explore the influence of thermocapillarity on the break-up properties of fluid threads in a microfluidic T-junction, where a dispersed phase is injected perpendicularly into ...
