Joint segmentation of many aCGH profiles using fast group LARS

open access: yes, 2009
Array-Based Comparative Genomic Hybridization (aCGH) is a method used to search for genomic regions with copy numbers variations. For a given aCGH profile, one challenge is to accurately segment it into regions of constant copy number.

Copper(II), a Peculiar Metal Ion for Complexation with Monensin A Ionophore

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Copper(II) forms three chiral and EPR‐active complexes with monensinate A in methanol. Beside the bis [CuL2] and mono [CuL]+ species, the new dinuclear construct [Cu2L]3+ exhibits an [ML]+‐type and a metal salt‐type copper(II) centers weakly bound to each other through counter ion(s) and thus, being magnetically independent.

Pericentric inversion in chromosome 1 and male infertility

open access: yesOpen Medicine, 2020
Pericentric inversion in chromosome 1 was thought to cause male infertility through spermatogenic impairment, regardless of the breakpoint position.

Sustainability‐Oriented Collaborations in Green Energy Markets Formation: A Configurational Analysis of Alliance Management Capabilities and Relational View

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sustainability‐oriented collaborations are inter‐organisational arrangements where the competencies of multiple companies are pooled together to tackle environmental challenges. These collaborations differ from traditional strategic alliances in that they tackle complex goals amidst greater uncertainties that extend beyond economic performance,

Challenges and Pitfalls to Diagnosing NUTM1‐Rearranged Neoplasia of the Pancreas by Cytology and Ancillary Studies

open access: yesDiagnostic Cytopathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Fine‐needle aspiration cytology specimens are frequently utilized for ancillary studies to identify diagnostic and prognostic information. This case highlights diagnostic pitfalls and challenges in diagnosing NUTM1‐rearranged neoplasia on pancreatic cytology.

Determination of jet fuel thermal deposit rate using a modified JFTOT [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
Three fuels having different breakpoint temperatures were studied in the modified jet fuel thermal oxidation tester. The lower stability fuel with a breakpoint of 240 C was first stressed at a constant temperature.

Enhanced structural variant and breakpoint detection using SVMerge by integration of multiple detection methods and local assembly

open access: yesGenome Biology, 2010
We present a pipeline, SVMerge, to detect structural variants by integrating calls from several existing structural variant callers, which are then validated and the breakpoints refined using local de novo assembly.

Pathogenesis and potential therapeutic targets of trichorhinophalangeal syndrome; lessons obtained from animal studies

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Trichorhinophalangeal syndrome (TRPS) is a rare genetic disease inherited in an autosomal dominant manner. It occurs in 1 in 100,000 people globally and is caused by several types of mutations of the TRPS1 gene. Since the first human patient was reported in 1966, typical and atypical pathologies, disease courses, and treatment case ...

Evaluation of resistance rates of enterobacterales to beta-lactam drugs and interpretation of their minimum inhibitory concentrations relative to clinical breakpoints [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University
Background: Beta lactam group of antibiotics are one among the most widely used against enterobacterales. There has been an escalation of resistance among cephalosporins, and carbapenems in the recent days.
