Specific characteristics and challenges associated with breast cancer diagnostics in women after breast augmentation and reconstructive surgeries with implants

open access: yesОпухоли женской репродуктивной системы
Background. The number of plastic surgeries is constantly growing worldwide. Breast augmentation remains the most common surgical procedure in women, which demonstrated a 0.5 % increase over the past 4 years.

A Cold Stress‐Activated Endocrine Sentinel Chemical Hormone Promotes Insect Survival via Mitochondrial Adaptations Through the Adipokinetic Hormone Receptor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Seasonal cold adaptation is vital for insect survival, yet the molecular mechanisms linking diapause to mitochondrial resilience remain largely unresolved. We identify ascaroside C9 (asc‐C9) as a key endocrine signal that enhances diapause survival during cold stress by activating the AKHR–PGC1α–UCP4 axis, thereby driving cold‐induced lipolysis and ...

CHB‐Induced Immune Zonation Chaos Elicited LXRα‐mediated Lipid Metabolism Disorders in Kupffer Cells to Induce Cancer Stem Cell Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By profiling the spatiotemporal hepatic landscape of CHB mouse models, the originally peri‐portal localized KCs migrated to the peri‐central in a CXCL9‐CXCR3‐dependent manner, facilitating their interaction with HBV+ hepatocytes. The interaction promoted LMD in KCs through ASGR1‐induced LXRα degradation, which, in turn, induced CSC formation via Stat3 ...

Safety and Efficacy of Adoptive Transfer of Stem Cell Memory Enriched Virus Specific T Cells against CMV and EBV

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study finds that CD8⁺ TSCM cells exhibit superior self‐renewal, differentiation, and antiviral activity. Transcriptome and epigenome analyses highlight MAPK cascade regulation in TSCM cells. In vivo, virus‐specific TSCM cells show enhanced persistence and tumor protection.

Positive Feedback Loop of Histone Lactylation‐Driven HNRNPC Promotes Autophagy to Confer Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Gemcitabine Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Histone 3 lysine18 lactylation (H3K18la) drives heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein C (HNRNPC) overexpression, activating autophagy to mediate gemcitabine resistance by stabilizing TNF receptor‐associated factor 6 (TRAF6) mRNA. Concurrently, HNRNPC stabilizes aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member A3 (ALDH1A3) mRNA, which enhances glycolysis and ...

Persistent lactation in bilateral breast implant augmentation: A case report and review of the literature

open access: yesJPRAS Open
Summary: Background: Persistent lactation, or galactorrhoea, is a common problem which is infrequently seen in the setting of aesthetic surgery. Increasing frequency of aesthetic breast surgery such as breast augmentation suggests a need for improved ...
