, 2012 The number of women in the USA with breast implants is now estimated at over 6 million based on national surveys. This is numerically in excess of 5% of the female adult population. The majority of these women had cosmetic augmentations but 20-30% had implant based post-mastectomy breast reconstructions or correction of congenital abnormalities.

Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.This research utilizes the ZIF‐8 for the encapsulation and intracellular delivery of nucleic acids, specifically mRNA, for applications in gene delivery. Integrating PEI addresses the issue of mRNA leakage from ZIF‐8, resulting in the delivery and expression of green fluorescent protein (GFP) in vitro and firefly luciferase in vivo.
