USP13 deficiency in intestinal epithelial cells aggravates DSS‐induced colitis by enhancing ER stress and apoptosis. USP13 interacts with GRP78 and reduces its K63‐linked ubiquitination to alleviate epithelial injury. Restoring USP13 expression or targeting the USP13‐GRP78 axis may represent a promising strategy for treating inflammatory bowel disease ...

The GGH/HuR Complex Binds and Stabilizes mRNAs to Maintain Tumor Cell Cycle and DNA Replication
Despite its canonical role in inhibiting DNA synthesis, GGH promotes tumor growth as a novel RNA‐binding protein. GGH binds GC‐rich 5′UTRs (e.g., CDC6/CCND1), recruits HuR to form a ternary complex that stabilizes mRNA via circular conformation, fueling DNA replication and the cell cycle. Targeting this axis suppresses NSCLC progression.

Maternal Diet, Breast Feeding and Infants' Growth: A fieldstudy in the Ivory Coast (West Africa) [PDF]
Four mothers and their infants living in a rural village of the Ivory Coast were studied for maternal diet, breast milk composition and volume and infants' growth over an 18 months' period. Two of the mothers were young, had a low calorie intake and gave

PAD1 is upregulated within the CD133+ subset or cisplatin‐resistant ovarian cancer cells, which is positively associated with the upregulation of stemness‐related markers and maintenance of stemness in OCSLCs. Mechanistically, PAD1‐catalyzed AKT2 citrullination at R202 facilitates AKT2 phosphorylation, promoting CEBPβ expression and its binding to the ...

The study found that RPL6 is frequently upregulated in HCC tissues with extrahepatic metastasis. Elevated RPL6 bound to and increased the stability of HMGCS1 mRNA, thereby enhancing intracellular cholesterol levels. Subsequently, increased cholesterol promotes cancer metastasis in HCC by stabilizing HIF‐1α protein.

The Benefits of Breastfeeding [PDF]
Breast milk is the gold standard for infant nutrition. In the past, infant formula was promoted as equal or superior to breast milk. However, research has shown that breastfeeding is the superior form of infant nutrition except in rare circumstances ...
