Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Lump, lump-one stripe, multiwave and breather solutions for the Hunter–Saxton equation

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2021
The aim of this article was to address the lump, lump-one stripe, multiwave and breather solutions for the Hunter–Saxton equation with the aid of Hirota bilinear technique. This model concerns in a massive nematic liquid crystal director field.

Design Strategies and Emerging Applications of High‐Performance Flexible Piezoresistive Pressure Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Flexible piezoresistive pressure sensors underpin wearable and soft electronics. This review links sensing physics, including contact resistance modulation, quantum tunneling and percolation, to unified materials/structure design. We highlight composite and graded architectures, interfacial/porous engineering, and microstructured 3D conductive networks

Rich analytical solutions of a new (3+1)-dimensional Boiti-Leon- Manna-Pempinelli equation

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
In this paper, a new (3+1)-dimensional Boiti-Leon- Manna-Pempinelli equation is studied. The interaction solutions of lump and N-soliton (N=2,3,4) are investigated.

Correction to: Breather, kink and rogue wave solutions of Sharma ‑ Tasso ‑ Olver ‑ like equation

open access: yes, 2023
In this paper, we consider the Sharma-Tasso-Olver-Like equation (STOLE) describing the dynamical behaviour of nonlinear dispersive waves in inhomogeneous medium.

Solvent Co‐Intercalation Enabled Ca Storage in MoS2 for Ca‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Regulating electrolyte solvation levels enables otherwise non‐intercalatable Ca2+ ions to reversibly co‐intercalate into molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) as ether‐solvated species. The intercalation reversibility is strongly governed by solvent chain length, as demonstrated using diethylene glycol dimethyl ether (G2) and tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether (

Interaction solutions of high-order breathers and lumps for a (3+1)-dimensional conformable fractional potential-YTSF-like model

open access: yesOpen Physics
In this study, the breather solutions and interaction solutions for the (3+1)-dimensional conformable fractional potential Yu-Toda-Sasa-Fukuyama-like model are conducted. The fractional derivative is described using the conformable derivative.

Interactions of Coherent Structures on the Surface of Deep Water

open access: yesFluids, 2019
We numerically investigate pairwise collisions of solitary wave structures on the surface of deep water—breathers. These breathers are spatially localised coherent groups of surface gravity waves which propagate so that their envelopes are stable ...

A numerical calculation of a weakly non-local solitary wave: the φ 4 breather [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
The breather of the phi 4 field theory decays by radiation to infinity. The concept of a solitary wave is still useful, however, because alpha , the amplitude of the 'far field' radiation, is exponentially small in in , the breather amplitude.

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...
