Breathers in Josephson junction ladders: Resonances and electromagnetic wave spectroscopy [PDF]
We present a theoretical study of the resonant interaction between dynamical localized states (discrete breathers) and linear electromagnetic excitations (EEs) in Josephson junction ladders. By making use of direct numerical simulations we find that such an interaction manifests itself by resonant steps and various sharp switchings (voltage jumps) in ...

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Breathers and rogue waves for semilinear curl-curl wave equations
We consider localized solutions of variants of the semilinear curl-curl wave equation $s(x)\partial_t^2U+\nabla\times\nabla\times+q(x)U\pm V(x)|U|^{p−1}U = 0$ for $(x,t)\in\mathbb{R^3}\times\mathbb{R}$ and arbitrary $p > 1$. Depending on the coefficients $s,q,V$ we can prove the existence of three types of localized solutions: time-periodic ...

Optofluidic Raman Analysis and Capacity Recovery in Li‐ion Cells
Operando Raman spectroscopy is used to monitor the degradation of commercial Li‐ion cells. Using a microfluidic access port, small amounts of electrolyte are sampled into a hollow‐core optical fibre, where fibre‐enhanced Raman analysis reveals Li+ solvation changes and solvent evolution.
