The breed and burn nuclear reactor: A chronological, conceptual, and technological review
Summary Currently about 11% of the world's energy is produced in nuclear power plants; this implies the processing of uranium in order to enrich it to be suitable for “burning” in a nuclear reactor. Besides other environmental and monetary costs involved in the whole nuclear fuel cycle, the enrichment process has the disadvantage of producing depleted

The authors develop a deep learning model for real‐time tracking of wound progression. The deep learning framework maps the nonlinear evolution of a time series of images to a latent space, where they learn a linear representation of the dynamics. The linear model is interpretable and suitable for applications in feedback control.

ABSTRACT In Australia, governments fund Community Legal Centres (CLCs) as part of the legal assistance sector (LAS) to meet the ‘legal needs’ of people experiencing disadvantage who cannot afford private legal services. Persistent unmet demand for CLCs is well‐documented. As artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly used in private legal practice to

Monte Carlo code Serpent calculation of the parameters of the stationary nuclear fission wave
n this work, propagation of the stationary nuclear fission wave was simulated for series of fixed power values using Monte Carlo code Serpent. The wave moved in the axial direction in 5 m long cylindrical core of fast reactor with pure 238U raw fuel ...

Quantifying the Sites of Government, Commercial, and Personal Systems‐Perpetrated Financial Abuse
ABSTRACT This study explores the institutional systems through which post‐separation financial abuse is perpetrated. While existing measures seek to quantify the harms experienced by women post‐separation, this study draws on financial, welfare and legal service casefiles to identify where such harms occur. Drawing on 76 de‐identified Victorian service

Skeletal pathologies in extant crocodilians as a window into the paleopathology of fossil archosaurs
Abstract Crocodilians, together with birds, are the only extant relatives to many extinct archosaur groups, making them highly important for interpreting paleopathological conditions in a phylogenetic disease bracketing model. Despite this, comprehensive data on osteopathologies in crocodilians remain scarce.

Rethinking brachycephaly: Anatomical implications and health considerations in lagomorphs
Abstract Brachycephaly in domestic rabbits is increasingly perceived by welfare organizations as associated with significant health complications, particularly oral pathologies. Despite this perception, comparative anatomical research into rabbit brachycephaly is limited compared to that of dogs and cats, compelling an in‐depth examination of its ...
