Sub‐1 ms Optoelectronic Synapse Based on {ZnCdO/ZnO} Multilayer Structure for High‐Speed Neuromorphic Vision Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Eu‐doped {ZnCdO/ZnO} structures grown on Si are developed, showcasing dual‐functionality controlled by europium doping. While high europium concentration transforms the device into an ultrafast, self‐powered photodetector, low‐doped structures can be used as an optoelectronic synapse.

Specific Position of Halogen in Crystalline TADF Scintillators Enables Efficient Triplet Harvesting Through Vibrational Modulation of Spin–Orbit Coupling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Specific ortho‐halogenation transforms crystalline TADF emitters into efficient organic scintillators. Fluorine reduces the effective singlet–triplet separation, while chlorine combines near‐degenerate excited states with vibrational modulation of spin–orbit coupling.

Strong Coupling in Bulk Nanoplasmonic Nanoplatelet Perovskite Scintillators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A bulk scintillating nanocomposite is engineered from CsPbBr3 nanoplatelets and Ag nanocubes to support exciton–plasmon strong coupling under X‐ray excitation. The resulting hybrid polaritonic states appear directly in radioluminescence, opening a route toward polariton‐enabled scintillator design beyond conventional Purcell enhancement.

The Effect of COVID-19 Vaccinations on Self-Reported Depression and Anxiety During February 2021

open access: yesStatistics and Public Policy, 2023
Using the COVID-19 Trends and Impact Survey, we estimate the average effect of COVID-19 vaccinations on self-reported feelings of depression and anxiety, isolation, and worries about health among vaccine-accepting respondents in February 2021, and find 3.

Controlled Synthesis of Tri‐ and Multi‐Doped Graphene

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review systematically evaluates synthesis routes for tri‐ and multi‐doped graphene, from hydrothermal and pyrolysis methods to flash Joule heating, critically assessing how each governs dopant incorporation, bonding configuration, and resulting electronic properties.

The role of intelligence in posttraumatic stress disorder: does it vary by trauma severity? [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Only a small minority of trauma victims develops post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), suggesting that victims vary in their predispositions to the PTSD response to stressors.

Coexistence of Large Nernst Effect and Axis‐Dependent Conduction Polarity in Semimetal MoSi2

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
MoSi2${\rm MoSi}_2$ is a rare material in which axis‐dependent conduction polarity (ADCP) and a large ordinary Nernst effect (ONE) coexist. The pronounced ONE (199μVK−1$199\,\umu \mathrm {V}\,\mathrm {K}^{-1}$) originates from nearly perfect carrier compensation, high mobility, and likely phonon drag, while ADCP arises from mixed‐dimensionality of the ...
