Gouren, the Breton wrestling, is a traditional, regional style of grappling wrestling which is practiced in Brittany, France. It has been deeply “sportized” during the last century. Nevertheless, Breton wrestlers still see, perform and describe their practice as an “ancestral” heritage, rooted in both the Celtic and peasant past of the region.
