Eldvatn bridge – Iceland´s first network arch bridge

IABSE Congress Reports, 2021

Following an enormous flooding event in the Skaftá glacial river in the south of Iceland in 2015, which severely damaged the existing bridge, a new network arch bridge has been designed, constructed and opened in 2019 to restore a much-needed road connection across the river adjoining the Main Ring Road [1].

Bridged Reactance-Resistance Networks [PDF]

open access: possibleProceedings of the IRE, 1949
Consideration is given to the various possible six-arm, six-element RC bridged networks of which the parallel-tee is the previously known example. It is found that six symmetrical RC structures exist having the infinite attenuation property of the parallel-tee and other properties differing from those of this structure.

The Bridge and Link Betweenness in the Networks

2020 IEEE 20th International Conference on Communication Technology (ICCT), 2020
In the network science, there are many network measures and parameters to evaluate the centrality of the nodes in different aspects, such as degree, node betweeenness, closeness, eigenvector centrality, and so on. These measures and parameters can be utilized in crucial nodes determination. In many situations, we also need to evaluate the centrality of

A Bridged T Network in Action

IETE Journal of Research, 1959
AbstractA marked preference is greatly in evidence in recent years on the part of both manufacturers and users of high power broadcast transmitters in favour of a design that incorporates two smaller transmitters, of half the power each, whose outputs are combined to give the full power of the station.

Local area network bridges

Computer Communications, 1988
Abstract In this paper the authors describe local area network bridges and how they may be used to link networks. The functionality and the relative advantages and disadvantages of LAN bridges, compared to other network interconnection methods, are discussed. An alternative source routing bridge for token ring networks is also outlined.

A Note on a Bridged-T Network

Proceedings of the IRE, 1951
A bridged-T network previously employed for the measurement of resistance is analyzed, and is shown to be useful as the frequency-determining element of a resistance-tuned oscillator. The resistance-capacitance form of the network permits a wide tuning range and simple switching between ranges, while the resistance-inductance network suggests the ...

Bridge and Brick Network Motifs

2006 6th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation, 2006
Researchers are increasingly acknowledging the important role of complex networks in numerous scientific contexts. In this paper we define two kinds of motifs - bridge and brick - for exploring and predicting network behaviors and functions and for identifying differences among network structures. Based on an analysis of these motifs in genetic, social,

Villamaría Network Arch Bridge

IABSE Reports, 2014

This paper focuses on the principal engineering aspects of the Network Arch Bridge over the river Tercero, which joins the cities Villa Maria and Villa Nueva in the province of Cordoba, Argentina. This new bridge replaces the old steel structure located nearby.

The structural concept of the network arch allows to cross the ...

Bridge Networks

1966
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses bridge networks. An electrical bridge network is an assembly of electrical components connected in such a way as to facilitate the measurement of some desired quantity or the comparison of two quantities. It is often desirable that a small change in the parameter being measured shall produce a large change in ...
