Bridge-network synthesis

Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1968
The paper deals with the equivalence of a bridge section to either a Darlington D section or two Brune sections, and with the extraction of this bridge section from a general reactance and an impedance function. Theorems specifying the necessary and sufficient conditions for section extraction are given in terms of the impedance function.

National Network Bridging the Gap

Agenda, 1997
MMABATHO RAMAGOSHI reports on the second conference of the National Network on Violence Against Women. She exposes the gap that exists in communication and infrastructure in the poorest provinces as the biggest challenge in organising to end violence against ...

Generalized Bridge Network for Dielectric Measurements

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1940
RECENT experience with bridges for the determination of power factor and dielectric constant of small oil samples over a range of frequency has indicated the desirability of improving their characteristics. These improvements or developments have to do principally with changes in circuit arrangements, a generalized representation of the bridge network ...

Target the Bridges in Signaling Networks

Science's STKE, 2007
The ability to identify essential components in signaling networks may allow for targeted disruption of the processes controlled by these networks. Yu et al . wanted to determine whether it was more important that a protein be highly connected (a hub) or that it have a high degree of "betweenness" (a bottleneck), a ...

Bridging the network generation gap

Computer Communications, 1991
Abstract In common with other advanced technologies in widespread, popular use, corporate data networking tends to be subject to conflicting pressures. On the one hand are the seemingly ever-accelerating rates of technological obsolescence and innovation, on the other the day-to-day business constraints of economic and operational acceptability ...

Linearization of the output of bridge networks

Journal of Scientific Instruments, 1964
A technique is described for the derivation of circuit conditions which ensures a bridge output directly proportional to the physical quantity producing bridge unbalance.

Lateral Stability of Network Arch Bridges

2019
Network arch bridges are arch bridges where hangers intersect each other at least twice. Although these innovative bridges present several advantages in terms of cost and structural performance with respect to the conventional tied-arch bridges, they remain vulnerable under certain loading condition.

Seismic resilience of bridges in transportation networks

2018
A disproportionate collapse can be avoided by improving collapse resistance, reducing the vulnerability of the structure or increasing structural robustness. While vulnerability depends on the individual structural components, robustness depends on the whole structural system.
