A scalable nano‐/micro‐confinement strategy is developed, where polyacrylamide (PAM)‐LiCl hybrid desiccants are confined within hollow nanoparticles (HNPs) and assembled into raspberry‐like microbeads. The beads have a hydrogel‐rich core and an NP‐rich shell for fast absorption and desorption, releasing water 13.6 L kg⁻¹ day⁻¹.

Treatment Methods for Geothermal Brines [PDF]
A survey is made of commercially available methods currently in use, as well as those which might be used, to prevent scaling and corrosion in geothermal brines. More emphasis is placed on scaling than on corrosion. Treatments are classified as inhibitors, alterants, and coagulants and are applied to control scaling and corrosion in fresh and waste ...

Effects of Brine Treatment on Pesticide Residues During Recycling of Pickling Brine
Abstract The effects of 2 pickle brine recycling treatments on residues of selected insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides are presented. Residues were determined in raw and brined cucumbers, in untreated brine, and in brine following pasteurization or chemical (NaOH) treatment. The samples were extracted with acetone, partitioned into
