Single‐Crystal Organic Field‐Effect Transistors Based on 5,15‐Bisaryl‐Tetrabenzoporphyrins: Synthesis, Structure, and Charge Transport Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study explores single‐crystal organic field‐effect transistors (SC‐OFETs) based on 5,15‐bisaryl‐tetrabenzoporphyrin derivatives. It highlights the impact of meso‐substituted groups on molecular packing and charge transport. Among the derivatives, C8Ph‐BP achieves the highest hole mobility (1.64 cm2 V−¹ s−¹) due to enhanced π‐stacking with ...

Self‐Supporting Graphene Foam for the Removal of Chlorine from Water

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Graphene‐based porous materials are promising for sorption and catalysis but often require binders. This study presents a self‐supporting graphene foam made from graphene oxide and hydrazine vapor. Structural, mechanical, and functional analyses confirm its superior chlorine removal efficiency (97%) and reusability, outperforming activated carbon in ...

PTC in the Polyenolate‐Mediated [10+2]‐Cycloaddition for the Synthesis of α,α‐Disubstituted Amino Acid Precursors

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
Abstract The manuscript describes a formal [10+2] higher‐order cycloaddition between 2‐arylideneindan‐1‐ones and α‐alkylidene azlactones as higherene precursors and higherenofiles respectively. The reaction is realized under Brønsted‐base catalysis utilizing the phase transfer catalysis approach.

Heterogeneously Catalyzed Cascade Oxidative Coupling/Dearomative Spirocyclization of Diarylamines: Facile Access to Spiroacridines

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
Abstract Spirocyclic compounds, particularly spirocyclohexadienones, are important in pharmaceuticals due to their biological activity. In this study, we develop a catalytic cascade oxidative spirocyclization of diarylamines for the rapid access to highly functionalized spirocyclohexadienones. Using commercially available recyclable heterogeneous metal

Development of Photo‐Biocatalytic Redox System for Asymmetric Synthesis of Optically Active Amines Using Blue Light and Transaminases. A Case Study Toward Mavacamten

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
Abstract α‐Chiral amines are versatile building blocks for the asymmetric synthesis of optically pure high‐added‐value chemicals, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and natural products. Herein, we report a one‐pot, two‐step sequential deracemization of racemic sec‐alcohols to optically enriched primary amines throught a photo‐biocatalytic ...

Modular Synthesis of 2,3,4,6‐Tetrasubstituted Thieno[2,3‐c]furans Based on Formal [3+2] Cycloaddition Utilizing [1,2]‐Phospha‐Brook Rearrangement / Brønsted Base‐Mediated Cyclization Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
Abstract A modular synthesis of 2,3,4,6‐tetrasubstituted thieno[2,3‐c]furans, which employs a formal [3+2] cycloaddition utilizing the [1,2]‐phospha‐Brook rearrangement and a subsequent Brønsted base‐mediated cyclization, has been established, providing an efficient access to a wide range of densely functionalized thieno[2,3‐c]furans that are otherwise

Shrimp Virus Regulates ROS Dynamics via the Nrf2 Pathway to Facilitate Viral Replication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Viruses manipulate host ROS as a strategy to achieve successful infection. WSSV exploits Nrf2 pathway to maintain ROS homeostasis and establishes a positive feedback loop to facilitate WSSV replication. Wsv220 competitively binds to Keap1 to activate Nrf2. Nrf2 up‐regulates LvG6PDH to produce more NADPH and GSH to eliminate excessive ROS.

Hydrogen Drives Part of the Reverse Krebs Cycle under Metal or Meteorite Catalysis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 61, Issue 51, December 19, 2022., 2022
Hydrogen is a geological reducing agent that powers the metabolisms of modern organisms and potentially also powered the metabolism of the last universal common ancestor to all extant life. It is shown that catalytic amounts of transition metals or small amounts of powdered meteorites allow hydrogen to drive a key sequence of the reverse Krebs cycle ...
