Briquet and Briquet's Syndrome Viewed from France *

The Canadian Journal of Psychiatry, 1983
Briquet's contributions to the description of hysteria have been almost completely forgotten in France. One may wonder how he, as well as contemporary French psychiatrists, would react to the approach to hysteria introduced and officialized by DSM III.

Briquet's syndrome in association with depression and panic: a reconceptualization of Briquet's syndrome

American Journal of Psychiatry, 1989
In a sample of 188 consecutive female psychiatric patients, Briquet's syndrome was found to be associated more closely with the aggregation of both major depression and either panic disorder or agoraphobia than with major depression or panic disorder-agoraphobia alone.

Effects of preheating on briquetting and subsequent hydrothermal pretreatment for enzymatic saccharification of wheat straw

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, 2019
Briquetting of plant biomass with low bulk density is an advantage for handling, transport, and storage of the material, and heating of the biomass prior to the briquetting facilitates the densification process and improves the physical properties of the

Briquetting coal with binders and statistical evaluation of briquet tests

1959
In view of the difficulties of controlling the various factors of coal briquetting with binder, statistical methods are very useful in the investigations of the briquetting process in laboratories, and even more so in industrial plants. A summary of the most important recent developments in coal briquetting with binders is first given, in order to help

Deformation of Particles during Briquetting

Nature, 1970
THE briquetting of small particles usually consists of the application of pressure in controlled conditions so that the individual particles hold together to form a coherent compact. Many mechanisms have been suggested to explain why the particles cohere to form a compact, but none have been based on satisfactory observation of the behaviour of the ...

Research into the briquetting process for improved design of briquetting machines

Materials & Design, 1994
Abstract The state of the art of the theory of compaction processes in roll press briquetters has been evaluated. A modified mathematical model of the compaction process for fine-grained materials in roll press briquetters, developed on the basis of our investigation, is presented as well as the results of the variability of external friction during ...
