Brittleness mechanism of pork meatballs revealed from molecular structure to macroscopic performance
Meatballs are manufactured with great craftsmanship, but the brittle quality of meatballs is not resistant to frozen storage, which limits the large‐scale promotion of meatballs for transportation. Meanwhile, the ‘brittle mechanism’ of meatballs is still

Effect of the viscosity ratio on the PLA/PA10.10 bioblends morphology and mechanical properties [PDF]
PLA bio-blends with a predominantly biosourced PA10.10 in the composition range 10-50wt.% were prepared by melt blending in order to overcome the advanced brittleness of PLA.

Fracture of Brittle Metallic Glasses: Brittleness or Plasticity
We report a brittle Mg-based bulk metallic glass which approaches the ideal brittle behavior. However, a dimple structure is observed at the fracture surface by high resolution scanning electron microscopy, indicating some type of "ductile" fracture mechanism in this very brittle glass. We also show, from the available data, a clear correlation between

Curvature‐tuned auxetic lattices are designed, fabricated, and mechanically characterized to reveal how geometric curvature governs stretchability, stress redistribution, and Poisson's ratio evolution. Photoelastic experiments visualize stress pathways, while hyperelastic simulations quantify deformation mechanics.

Design and modelling of CRB cutting equipment for batch processing
Ceramic roller is more reliable than metal roller. However, ceramic materials are difficult to process due to their high hardness and great brittleness. They are easy to crack and easy to damage cutting tools. To batch processing of ceramic roller blanks

Cr0.9Si0.1 protective coatings are developed to enhance the thermal‐shock and oxidation resistance of Mg2Si0.89(Sn0.1,Sb0.01) thermoelectric (TE) materials. The coating forms a dense and adherent barrier that suppresses oxygen diffusion and mitigates mechanical degradation during cyclic oxidation, demonstrating its potential to improve the long‐term ...

Models of Interaction as a Grounding for Peer to Peer Knowledge Sharing [PDF]
Most current attempts to achieve reliable knowledge sharing on a large scale have relied on pre-engineering of content and supply services. This, like traditional knowledge engineering, does not by itself scale to large, open, peer to peer systems ...
