Broadband dual-plate monopole antennas

open access: yesTwelfth International Conference on Antennas and Propagation (ICAP 2003), 2003
In this paper, dual-plate monopole antennas without and with a shorting pin and/or edge trimming have been studied. The experimental results of return loss have been presented, and compared with single plate monopole antennas. It has been shown that the lower end matching frequency can be lowered by 17% by using dual plates.

Tailoring Phonon‐Driven Responses in α‐MoO3 through Isotopic Enrichment

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The implementation of polaritonic materials into nanoscale devices requires selective tuning of parameters to realize desired spectral or thermal responses. One robust material, α‐MoO3, an orthorhombic crystal boasting three distinct phonon dispersions, provides three polaritonic dispersions of hyperbolic phonon polaritons (HPhPs) across the ...

Low RCS and Broadband ME Dipole Antenna Loading Artificial Magnetic Conductor Structures [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2017
A design for low radar cross section (RCS) and broadband magnetic-electric (ME) dipole antenna is proposed. Minkowski-like fractal metal patches printed on the substrate form the electric dipoles, four metallic vias connected to the radiation patches and
