Broadband Antennas with Reactive Loads
2018 9th International Conference on Ultrawideband and Ultrashort Impulse Signals (UWBUSIS), 2018The results of a study on the expansion of the frequency range of vibrational curved whip and loop antennas are presented. Optimal designs of these antennas with concentrated reactive loads included in the shoulders are proposed. The study was carried out for a design that appears promising for use as a microstrip antenna.

Broadband fragmented cylindrical antennas
2015 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2015A new type of fragmented cylindrical antenna geometry is introduced that can be applied to common monopole and dipole antennas. Metallic regions of a cylindrical conductor are selectively removed in order to generate alternate current paths that can allow for increased operating bandwidth.

A short broadband monopole antenna
AEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2018A novel design procedure is proposed to overcome the narrow bandwidth characteristic of the monopole antenna. Having sections with different lengths and radii as well as adding loads at two points along the antenna makes it permissible to optimize the radiation efficiency and bandwidth of the monopole antenna.

Broadband hybrid water antennas
2015 IEEE 4th Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation (APCAP), 2015A broadband hybrid water antenna at very high frequency band is presented. The proposed antenna is composed of a seawater monopole and a distilled-water ring antenna. The broadband of this hybrid antenna is caused by the multiple resonances introduced by the hybrid monopole-ring structure. This antenna achieves a wide bandwidth from 52.5MHz to 162.5MHz,

2009
Microstrip antennas are inherently narrowband. The typical bandwidth of a microstrip antenna is around 4% to 7%. A considerable number of experimental approaches have been undertaken to develop microstrip antennas that have a broader impedance bandwidth than a single microstrip element achieves without external matching.

Broadband additive spiral antenna
2017 Antenna Measurement Techniques Association Symposium (AMTA), 2017A novel low cost and high performance miniaturized broadband Additive Spiral Antenna (ASA) technology (patent pending) has been developed. Unlike other conventional spiral designs, this new spiral antenna leverages Additive Manufacturing (AM) 3D zig-zag shapes to achieve an efficient slow wave radiation structure for extending spiral's low frequency ...

Self-Complimentary and Broadband Antennas
2015Frequency independent and broadband antennas are reviewed form the view points of the selfcomplementarity and self-similarity. The theory of self-complementary antenna, original and modified self-complementary antennas, and so-called log-periodic antennas are discussed.
